Demonsul decides to narrow down his options. Learning everything won't get him very far...although he hasn't been told half the spells he has the ability (in theory) to cast (Finish the spell list) he decides to focus slightly on the following;

  • Learn Dark faster and Light slower
  • Learn Wind faster and Water slower
Yet another question: Is there a set amount of level we can learn everyday?

Ok, what you are going to do is pick your own levels. This is how you're going to do it...maybe...

You get a certain amount of points every day.(I will say how much each day. If you miss out a day or two, just add them up). These points can be used to increase your level. So, for say, level 5, it takes five points, and for level 20, it takes 20 points.
E.g.
Adasfdri gets 100 points. Most of his levels are at 24 from previous days, but light is 30 and darkness is 10

Light - 30
Darkness - 10
Fire - 24
Water - 24
Earth - 24
Wind - 24
Energy - 24
Healing - 24
Mind - 24

Each level increase from 24 to 25 is 25 points, but from level 10 darkness to level 11 is 11 points, from 30 to 31 is 31 points. You get the picture, I hope. He decides to increase fire and water each by one level and darkness by 4 levels.

[Sorry, won't get all spells finished today]

*Killer rose from his bed early, had a quick breakfast in the hall, and went to his next 5 classes. They were better than yesterday. First was wind, which didn't go to well, then earth, just around the same, then energy, which wsan't great either. But then he had a healing class. He managed to be the first to put up a healing shield, which was a strange shield, just healed the person inside it, no other effects said the teacher. He felt rejuvanated after it, and smirked when it took 5 minutes for the next person, and her shield didn't glow so brightly, followed only by a 3 miute wait after that, then some more. Killer trotted down with a lighter heart to mind, as he thought he could manage it if he had the healing class. He did well in mind, producing a mind shield, and it was the first class that the shield was tested. The teacher pushed with her mind into theirs, and could easily break through most of the shields, but Killer's held one of the longest, but it took nearly a full minute for the teacher to break through a young boy's shield, towards a tops of 20 seconds for the rest. Killer made a mental note to watch out for that kid, he was only a small boy, maybe 6 or so, one of the youngest in the school most likely, and Killer hadn't noticed him doing so well in the other classes, though he could have been in others, as there were much more than one at a time. Though he remembered seeing him in energy and healing, and he just noticed him because of his size, and was very slow in making a shield.
         Killer ate some lunch, then headed towards the hall, as the teachers were showing the jobs they might be doing. They wandered around the town, along the farms, which many of the students would be helping the farmers with, in the various craft places, a blacksmith, carpenters and others, only 3 students could be helping the blacksmith, and 10 for the carpenters. They were next shown around the school and what jobs they could do there, such as cleaning the place up, the public rooms only though, and also the armoury, where 10 students would polish the weapons and stuff, but with a teacher supervising. Killer himself got a job with one of the farmers. It was about a 50:50 chance of that towards all the other jobs. Still, he didn't mind so much, he hoped the farmer would be ok. One of the teachers just breifly explained what to do "You will start working next week, from Monday to Saturday, Sundays off. You will work for five hours, from 8 in the morning until 1 o' clock in the afternoon, then you'll have lunch and come back here for lessons. You can swap your jobs if you so wish, you just have to inform who you're working for, and who you're swapping with and you have to be there, as well as informing Professor Tingrey here," pointing to a tall thin man. "Now, be off with you, you will recieve information about your work from the work-person". Killer headed off to get a meagre dinner then went to bed.*

Plato went to sleep easily, as it was far from raining and wasn't even pitch black outside.  Plato remembered light class and how he was the best in that class.  He also remembered mind class, which he flunked easily.  He had been able to do a water squirt with no problem.  Wind wasn't his best, but was good still.  Meowman had exceeded in wind and Plato wasn't jealous, but was happy he did well. Plato was never one to be jealous of another.  Plato then remembered the amulets the teachers were talking about.  The teachers said that somewhere under the school was a stash of amulets that healed 5 mana points a minute.  The rumors were that an ary of skeletons guarded it, and no one was to look for one.  Something told him he could find it, but something else told him that he would be in trouble.   He thought about it, and decided he would train in wind, water, light and healing before he went to look for it.  Plato went to sleep after a snore came from Killer's tired mouth...

Demonsul had had a tiring day. He had performed well in his Darkness class, his darkness spell had made it darker than anyone else! He was extremely proud and vowed to take more darkness classes. He had also been able to summon up a breeze in his wind class, but he had failed in his Healing class completely.
The Mind class was strange. They were yet to be told any spells, but they had meditated in Zen fashion for an hour. Apparently this had increased their mind powers slightly.
Later that day Demonsul signed up for a carpenters apprenticeship. He hoped he would get the job. But as for now, he had to rest. Lighting his way using a flicker of flame that he had learned in fire class, he returned to his bed, and went to sleep immediately.

[I take it we lose 20mp every day from lessons, or is the amount we lose the same as the amount of points we are given to level up with?]

you do know that to reach a level you need to spend that number of points?

eg you have 5 heal, and you want 6 heal, you need to spend 6 points

You have configured it wrongly, firstly, all your levels were at 3. Earth is +4, +5, +6, +7, which is 22, and +4, +5 for your mind, which is 31. I gave you 20. You can't take away levels and give them to other ones either.

Wind was good too, but healing didn't go as well as he hoped that day.  Today, a kid double the size of himself (which certainly was something, because he was the tallest) kept making wise cracks at everyone.  He even stuffed a small boy upside-down in a wooden barrel.  He hoped the dueling room would open already, so he could see how well they all had improved in magic and teach the bully a lesson...

(Note: Mind control can be used on disorrientated victims to better effect. None of the spells work too well, apart from the ones further down the list. Most of the spells last around ten minutes, depending on your level as well. Now, precognition is strange, and you wouldn't be able to see the future without changing it, if it happened to you, but some might argue... Anyway, doesn't happen, but in this thread, you can change the future events, like if someone wants to put his/her fist through your head, you can duck. Forgive me if I use misleading terms, see towards hear(or something) and so on. I also note that some people may argue against people having weaker minds than others, but they do in here... These include: Stupid people, Traumatized people, Disorrientated peopel)

Mind

Level 1 - Mind Shield(Protect from mind attacks) - 5 mp
Level 3 - Empathy(Makes you be able to read a persons feelings, nothing more, anger, sadness, fear, etc. You do not experience the feelings yourself) - 1 mp

Meowman awoke Plato in the middle of the night.  He told Plato a falling star is coming.  He wakes up Killer and Demonsul and they all go to the window.  The star is barely moving at all.  The star keeps moving and falls until it burns out.  And they all remembered that falling stars granted a wish.  Plato thought of a wish, and the others did too. Plato would bet 10 wands that everyone else saw this too, or at least the teachers...

Level 60 - Electric Shock, level 3(Gives another person a bad electric shock without touching them) - 6 mp

Level 5 - Minor Antidote(Heals from very weak posions) - 1 mp
Level 10 - Mana Revival, level 1(Gets 1 extra mp, can only use once a day) - 0 mp
Level 15 - Minor Heal, level 2(Heals a smallish cut) - 2 mp
Level 25 - Protection Shield, level 1(Defends yourself from any attacks slightly) - 3 mp
Level 35 - Antidote(Heals from stronger posions, but not too strong) - 3 mp
Level 45 - Mana Revival, level 2(Gets 5 extra mp, can only use once a day) - 0 mp
Level 50 - Heal(Heals cuts and cures very minor diseases) - 5 mp
Level 60 - Protection Shield, level 2(Defends yourself from any attacks slightly better) - 6 mp
Level 70 - Major Antidote(Cures from almost all posions) - 6 mp
Level 80 - Mana Revival, level 3(Gets 20 extra mp, can only be used once a day) - 0 mp
Level 90 - Protection shield, level 3(Defends yourself from any attacks a bit better(Even this isn't great, but can stop most weak spells and weak physical attacks)) - 10 mp
Level 100 - Major Heal(Heals almost all cuts and diseases, even internal cuts) - 20 mp

Level 1 - Mind Shield(Protect from mind attacks) - 5 mp
Level 3 - Empathy(Makes you be able to read a persons feelings, nothing more, anger, sadness, fear, etc. You do not experience the feelings yourself) - 1 mp
Level 5 - Telekinesis, level 1(Moves a small object around without touching it) - 1 mp
Level 10 - Aura Reading(Sees a persons aura, telling you how they feel, but better than Empathy as you sort of see a meaure of their feelings...) - 2 mp
Level 15 - Precognition, level 1(Enables you to see near future events. Doesn't work very well) - 3 mp
Level 25 - Telekinesis, level 2(Moves a medium sized object around without touching it) - 4 mp
Level 35 - Mind Control, level 1(Takes control of a very weak mind) - 5 mp

*The students, everyone in the school wandered down to the dueling rings. There was eleven around the place. Ten surrounded a single one. There were nine that enhanced each element, and then dinned the rest, i.e. one for light, dinning other elements, one for darkness, dinning all other elements, so on. They had various characteristics of each element, like there was a breath of wind in the wind duelling ring, it seemed bright in the light duelling ring. Then there was another two, one that was just plain, and sort of strange, having nothing in it, you sort of floated in the air, and it was hard to cast any magic in that. Then, there was the centre one, a mixture of each element, enhancing all.
           The head professor was waiting there, with another man, not a professor, Killer knew. The professor stood up."Myself and this young man here," he said gesturing to the other man, who was not at all young, "will be duelling as a demonstration, and to decide who is more powerful, but we don't really need to duel to find out that," he continued, to much smiling, more from enthuasiasm of the students towards at what the professor said. "This man here is of the element of darkness mainly, while I am of all. Now, let us begin!" he thundered with this last sentence, and it rang throughout the hall. Killer had a fairly good advantage point to see.
            The professor stood at one side, the other man at the other. The professor leaned on a staff, he relied on it slightly to stand. It was stiff and straight, with a single green gemstone, large and clear sitting on the top. The other man brought from the folds of his cloak a short wand, and to this Killer thought that the professor should easily win, he would expect a more experienced mage to have a staff.
              The professor called out his djinni, they were big and menacing, all 5 of them. The other man barely glanced at them. He 'summoned' (Not actually summoned, just brought into the place where he was, he was already summonned) a huge demon, towering over the other djinni. This looked to be an interesting duel, Killer thought. The demon summonned five big dead bodies, a level 100 demon Killer thought. This was a successful mage. The demon was a bit weak after it, they usually have more MP than humans, but sometimes on bad days they had less, but a demon like this shouldn't have even blinked at this. The five dead skeletons lumbered towards the djinni.
